More than 400 CUB supporters voted this week in our 30th Anniversary Cartoon Contest to pick their favorite artwork over the years. The results are in, and the winning CUB cartoon is….
(Guess you all are fed up with those tedious customer service lines!)
We are also happy to announce our grand prize winner: Dolores of Oak Park, who will be receiving $50 off her next utility bill, 5 energy-saving light bulbs, and the winning cartoon autographed by artist Cliff Wirth.
“You’re kidding!” she said when we called her. “Never in a million years did I dream that I would win.”
A self-described “CUB person,” Dolores says she supports the organization because it has taught her to practice energy efficiency and save money on her utility bills.
We are glad to hear we could help! We couldn’t do the work we’ve done for the past 30 years–battling rate hikes, promoting efficiency and defending consumers–without the support of consumers like Dolores.
Thanks to everyone who voted and stay tuned for future 30th Anniversary contests in 2014!
